About the Neighborhood

The Loring Park neighborhood is located on the southern edge of downtown Minneapolis in the area immediately around the Minneapolis Convention Center. With a population of some 7,500 residents and more than 300 businesses and institutions, the Loring community is one of the most diverse and eclectic neighborhoods in Minnesota.

What's New

Loring Greenway, sprawling across Nicollet Mall over LaSalle Avenue to Willow Avenue, recently completed a $1.1 million renovation. The newly enhanced Loring Greenway features replaced pavement, additional green space and better street lighting, so pedestrians, park-goers and bikers can reap the benefits of a safer, prettier and more accessible greenway.
