Food at the State Fair
Onion Rings, onion rings, onion rings. Did I say onion rings? I will also have walleye and shrimp on a stick (I love fish), Green Mill Pizza, Famous Dave's Barbeque Ribs and Sweet Martha's Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Lake or Park
Lake Harriet Rose Garden is simply divine, I was married there.
Restaurant or Bar
I love the chicken caesar salad at Tucci Benucch and the grilled salmon or asiago and almond crusted halibut along with the maytag blue cheese salad from Kincaid's. I also like Broadstreet in Rochester, Minn.—they have the best boursin chicken recipe. I also like Bellanotte for mingling and enjoying cocktails with friends.
